Voters in Shoreline, Kenmore, and Lake Forest Park to Decide on the Future of Fire and Emergency Services in their Communities

Shoreline, WA – The Shoreline Fire Department is pleased to announce a series of educational community meetings designed to inform residents about Proposition 1 – a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) measure that will be on the February 11, 2025, special election ballot.

These meetings will offer residents an opportunity to learn about the proposed RFA, its potential benefits, and how it aims to enhance fire protection and emergency medical services for the communities of Shoreline, Kenmore, and Lake Forest Park.

At the community meetings, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from local Shoreline Firefighters and Fire Chief Matt Cowan.

  • Tuesday, January 21 – Shoreline
    Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

About the Regional Fire Authority (RFA)

The proposed RFA would unite the resources of the Shoreline and Northshore Fire Departments to create unified, efficient fire protection and emergency medical services. By combining resources, the RFA aims to:
