Notice of Intent to Award - Air Compressor

On December 20, 2018, the District advertised a request for sealed bids for the following: One (1) 10 HP SCBA Compressor, One (1) Breathing Apparatus Cylinder Fill Station and Four (4) ASME Storage Cylinders.

The opportunity to submit a bid closed at 5:00 PM on January 16th. Three bids were received and opened at the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners at 5:15 PM on that same day.

The District has completed an evaluation of the bids received for the aforementioned breathing air compressor. Based on the results of the evaluation the District intends to award a contract to Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., who was determined to be the most responsive and responsible, lowest price bidder.

The bid submitted by Municipal Emergency Services was for the Scott Safety HushAir Connect 7,500 SCBA Compressor System with their “RevolveAir” fill station.

This memorandum does not constitute acceptance of the bid or any agreement with the District. No agreement will be formed until the District executes a purchase contract with Municipal Emergency Services, Inc.
