Northshore Fire Department would love to highlight some amazing assistance programs that are available in our community for those in need.

  • Kenmore City Council has designated $1,000,000 of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds the City is receiving to help our lowest income residents recover from the pandemic through direct cash assistance. The City has contracted with the Northshore Schools Foundation to find qualifying residents and assist with the application process. This program is described and the application accessed here: https://kenmorecares.org/ or visit American Rescue Plan Act | City of Kenmore Washington.

  • NUD also has multiple assistance programs available through a link on their website: https://www.nud.net/customers/assistance-programs/. These programs include:
      • Low-Income Discount Program (LIPD).
      • Deferred Payment Plan Arrangement (DPPA) for customers with past-due balances.
      • Share A Drop Program, which is a relatively new program modeled on the PSE assistance program whereby customers are able to contribute to a fund to help NUD customers with <50% of the area median household income.
