The fire prevention division of the Shoreline Fire Department is passionate about safety. In our efforts to ensure fire safety throughout our community we provide a wide variety of services to the residents of
Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore and Woodway.
Inspections of existing businesses to provide safety education to business owners and enforce fire code regulations.
New construction projects through code development, plan review and construction inspections. Shoreline Fire also issues permits for the installation and modification of fire protection systems.
Investigations of fires are performed in cooperation with the King County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigation Unit.
Another very important component of our job is public safety education. In addition to participating in community events and providing safety education on request, we present fire safety lessons to students in each of the elementary schools in our fire district each year.
Community outreach is achieved through participation in local events and direct assistance to citizens.
